my christmas cactus has been dormant for the past 5 years. how can we know why flowers sometimes take so long to bloom, why there are seasons of waiting, why they suddenly choose to begin again?
i just give thanks, rejoice in pink blossoms on my front porch. sit with them when the sun shines sideways in the afternoon.
