thankful today for freedom to be imperfect.


for dust on my floors.
for teaching moments when things fall apart and we can't stop laughing.
for conversations that yield good conflict, and space to disagree.
for not trying so hard.
for old sweaters with those linty balled up pieces stuck everywhere.
for a day without showering and natural oils in my hair.
for unfinished parts that can wait until later.
for piles of books on the shelf and socks that don't match.
for procrastination without guilt.
for too much coffee.
for knowing i'm just human.
for happiness in the midst of normal, and looking forward to surprises.
