blogging from the gym waiting for my car to be ready... hopefully all tuned up and ready to go. i sat in the sun for a long time after yoga. i live in california and some days it is too beautiful.

many transitions these days, into a new sense of work and life and simplicity.

we have a new roommate who brings great joy into the house. she is from spain, studying here for 7 months. she loves life and speaks with great energy in her eyes. she cleans up after herself and cooks with spices. she plays flamenco and dances with jingles.

i'm falling in love with the magic of teaching again. like the story of peter pan, it is a place of wonder, of dreams and neverland, this world of children's imaginations. and even when i feel myself desiring perfection instead of learning, it is ok, and we laugh together.

i'm anticipating holidays at home with family this year. cold air and white snow, warm blankets and an old house made of wood. a mom who rides a funny bicycle down main street, and a dad who always wants to know how i am.

and i am the lord's, just like the psalm that says the earth is his, and everything in it.
