pasadena passed some kind of ordinance this week for second units, 15,000 sq ft lot minimum. this is ridiculous. friends of mine have been working diligently to decrease the limits on building, and now the city ups the limit from 10,000 to 15,000. i don't know any lot in pasadena that is large enough to qualify. this puts my property out of the running, and convinces me that the city not only lacks support for affordable housing, it may even be discouraging it.

this is absolutely frustrating, and makes me want to rise out of my, "we can't change 'em so don't even try mentality" and actually do something.
