today is one of those days when awakening the inner fun just feels necessary.

i sat at the coffee shop this morning, eavesdropping on a little boys' conversation with his mother. they talked about his "favoritist" kinds of candy, in order of preference. i listened until they got into the second tier, number eleven, twelve before i started contemplating peanut m and m's for breakfast.

i can say, with sadness, that food is no longer the guiltless pleasure it was for me as a child. i suddenly long to indulge at least the idea of the most yummy list i can imagine.

on a day when everything feels big... so many students with great big holes in their souls, so many concerts and details to remember, some hard adult decisions coming up, acting like a grown up just feels like too much work.

and so i must tell you, that in order of most favortist...

i am craving red twizzlers.
mini snickers.
candy corn.
reeses' pb cups.
swedish fish.
salt water taffy.
rolos.
whoppers.
and a big bag of caramels a la good will hunting...

mmmm.
