so much beauty around these days.

it feels like sinking down into something central, spirit.
it feels like riding waves.
like wondering where this train goes.
confidence that it's a happy place. friends are there.
there will be food to eat slowly at a cafe outside.
or music maybe nearby.
they'll let me play along perhaps. or smile while i listen.

it feels like waiting.
it's like being more involved.
seeing lilac on the trail. recognizing its leaves.
coming home to tiny purple on my very own plant growing.
buds on the apricot tree and the sage sprouting new leaves.
clusters of green fig leaves and the currant vine changing shape.

she said this week i have long legs and red hair.
she said stand tall. sit back. work it.

he said nice to meet you. that was fun. save me a dance.

i said ok. thank you. i'm excited.
