if it rains anymore, i think we will all melt.
i've never seen so much water falling in southern california, and my life feels almost on hold... resting in a semi state of hibernation is turning into a bit of claustrophobia and i'm craving sunshine.
my students tried to convince me yesterday that they could not sing well and were tired because of the rain. my east coast self laughs, but i'm six years in "paradise" now and i actually agree.
here's hoping that the earth will find a place for all this liquid, and that the spirit will soak without flooding the soul. may moisture find rest and create fertile ground for many spring wildflowers.
