asking for wisdom about some decisions. i need to accept or decline some more teaching opportunities and decide if i will go ahead with grad school apps as planned. i have little energy to think about grad school next year, piano auditions are daunting with no time, and i frankly really love the work this year. next year promises to be even better as i develop relationships with students/parents/schools... and consistency from one year to another really appeals to me. i can get a masters anytime...
also, a mentor told me today to really think about what i want to focus on teaching wise long term. this year i have my feet in many shoes, but at some point it will be helpful to decide more specifically what i resonate with, and what resonates with me.
in the meantime, i am breathing often and loudly, drinking coffee when necessary, and keeping my hands at 10 and 2 on the wheel.

I don't know where you get your wisdom - but I agree with you, that if you are loving what you do, go with it. It's a gift. Develop new relationships, new skills, and save grad school for when you need to stretch out for inspiration. Thanks for sharing.
