yes up and about now, thanks rudy.

the "yucky" i caught has lingered, but is made well with strong drugs, and i am glad to be back to teaching. this morning my students performed and i was reminded of the value of the imperfect in children. it is good to see more and more freedom for mistake, for the process, for laughing when we mess it up. as i tell them often now, support each other, for we cannot learn without trying something new.

the day is beautiful and i shared the afternoon with good company. the sun shines sideways now with clarity and i welcome the cool of the day.

i heard some amazing music at the knitting factory this week thanks to christy. (m&d, cd for my birthday would be marvelous...) some just have the gift to perform, and i marveled, laughing at songs creative and improvised, fingers literally dancing on strings, and an oh so sexy rock star voice.

tommorow we sing in church. gospel spirituals at the japanese american church in koreatown. i love los angeles.

so hello november, the month of my birth. may you be full of greatness and motion. may you bring redemption that is flavorful. the kind i can taste. the kind that satisfies.
